Louise AstonLouise started her career as a fashion buyer at Marks & Spencer and transitioned into campaigning by taking health into fashion to support the government’s national skin cancer prevention programme. She has led campaigns including World Mental Health Day, 5 A DAY and FRANK. Since joining BITC in 2007, Louise has established employee wellbeing as a core CSR component and a strategic boardroom issue.Business in the Community’s Wellbeing Campaign is a collaborative movement, developed by international business leaders with the core purpose of creating happier, healthier and more productive workforces and with a particular focus on mental health.
 
The Campaign helps businesses to support the health, happiness and engagement of their employees by taking a strategic, integrated approach to physical, mental and social health, based on the principles of BITC’s Workwell Model – the gold standard framework for embedding organisational wellbeing.  BITC Wellbeing inspires best practice and gives employers the resources, tools and advice to create positive cultures of wellbeing for the benefit of businesses, employees and society. BITC Wellbeing Champion and Core membership offers businesses the chance to lead this responsible business agenda and get the flexible, support they need to improve their well-being offering.
